Electronics contain copper, aluminium and small amounts of precious metals — which is why a drawer of dead gadgets is worth more than you'd think.
1. Keep devices whole
A complete laptop is worth more than a loose motherboard and a separate screen. Don't strip parts out yourself unless you know what you're doing.
2. Wipe your data first
Sign out of accounts, remove SIM and memory cards, and factory-reset phones and laptops before pickup. If a device won't turn on, tell us and we'll handle the storage separately.
3. Sort batteries separately
Lead-acid UPS and inverter batteries are priced per Ah, so note the rating printed on the label. Never store swollen lithium batteries near heat — bag them and mention them when you book.
4. Bundle with other scrap
E-waste pickups are free, and combining them with metal or paper often makes a bigger, better-paid load.
